1. Fold a piece of paper in half.
Cut a line about 2 inches long around the middle of the
crease |
2. Fold back each of the flaps to
make 2 triangles |
3. Flatten card and open it up like
a v. |
4. Push the triangles up from
behind and fold card in half again. The folds are now
inside the card. |
5. With the card closed, push down
on the folds to make them well-creased. When opened,
you have a pop-up beak. 6.
Fold another piece of paper in half (a different color looks
great). Glue this new card to the outside of our pop-up
card. Don't glue near the beak area or it won't open.
Let the glue dry. |
7. Draw a bird around the beak and
finish decorating your card. For variations, don't cut
a straight line --- cut a way a line or a zig-zag for a
scary jagged beak. You can even make more than one
beak for 2 birds. |
